Over the past 15 years Queens Park has become a significant area of residential development in Billericay, Essex, England. Comprising a wide variety of private and social housing, it has grown to almost 3,000 houses.

THE CHRISTIAN LINK is situated near the shops on Queens Park Avenue and is accessible on foot for many people. It is the home for QUEENS PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH, part of Billericay Methodist Church, and provides a venue for Christian and community activities.

Our vision is of a building for church and community use:

  • Where Christians can work together to spread the Gospel and show caring love.

    ACTIVITIES :

    SUNDAY WORSHIP - from 11.00 am to about 12 noon, followed by refreshments. There is something for all ages. Everybody is welcome to attend any of our services.

    Regular ALPHA COURSES explore the Christian faith.

    ART FOR PLEASURE - Wednesday, 9.30 am - 12.30 pm. An informal painting group: everybody welcome.

    A BROWNIE GROUP meets in the Church on a Wednesday afternoon.

    CELL GROUPS - meet weekly on Wednesday and Thursday evenings to share the gospel and friendship in members’ homes. A group for Young Adults (18 - 30) - UniCell - meet at the Church on a Monday evening, and also regularly for other activities such as meals and games nights.

    THE COFFEE POT provides somewhere to go for a drink and a chat near the Queens Park shops on Thursday and Friday mornings. An INFORMAL CRAFT GROUP meets on Thursday morning and there is a PAUSE FOR THOUGHT on Friday morning.

    COOKED BREAKFASTS are served on the last Saturday morning each month.

    ESTHER'S SPA offers a place for ladies to relax in a peaceful atmosphere.

    LITTLE SPARROWS - a Drop-in group for Babies, Toddlers and their Carers meet on a Monday afternoon.

    "QUOGS" - a Social group for over 55s on the first Wednesday afternoon each month.

    SOCIAL EVENTS are arranged from time to time.

    SUPPORT is also provided for Christian activities at Mountnessing Court, Park Lodge and Queens Park Court, and for the local schools ministry.
